Job Description
Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Physical Activity and Obesity Epidemiology.
The fellowship will be supervised by Dr. Peter Katzmarzyk and will provide training in clinical and translational research, clinical trial management, epidemiology and data analysis, as well as develop skills in critical thinking, manuscript writing and grant writing necessary for establishing an independent research career.
Major Responsibilities
Conducting research studies on physical activity, obesity and health disparities.
Assistance in conducting statistical analyses of population datasets.
Preparation of research grant applications and peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts in the areas of physical activity and obesity epidemiology.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Exercise Science or related field.
Strong interest in scientific credentials in the field of obesity.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
