EHE | Crane Center for Early ChildhoodA full-time Postdoctoral Researcher will be hired to dedicate 12 months each year (100% effort) to the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. Under the supervision of Investigators, the Postdoctoral Researcher will participate on one or more research teams focused on early childhood language and literacy development. The postdoctoral researcher’s primary responsibilities including cleaning and organizing data, preparing data for analyses, formulating study hypotheses and research aims, conducting data analyses using state-of-the-art quantitative methodologies (e.g., growth curve modeling, hierarchical linear modeling), and preparing scientific papers for publication. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to actively participate as a research-team member, to include collaborating with other team members on study formulation, analytical approaches, and trouble-shooting scientific questions. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to pursue and complete first-authored research activities/papers while simultaneously collaborating as an ancillary other on other team member’s works. Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience: Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Experience in education research, including advanced methodological skills. Candidates must have expertise in quantitative methodologies (e.g., structural equation modeling, multilevel regression, survey development validation, item-response theory, etc.) and child development. Working knowledge of human subjects’ protections and IRB. Required Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an accredited college or university in an area of Education or a related field before the starting date of the position. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a research team.
Desired Experience: Prior experience with translational research is desirable.
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $61,008
