Post Doctoral ScholarDepartment:
FAES | EntomologyPostdoctoral researcher will conduct research on decision processes by certified Pest Control Advisors and others when making pesticide applications to bee-attractive crops. Work will include identifying and conducting interviews with pesticide applicators, coding responses to interviews and integrating interview responses using a mental models approach.
It is expected that the successful candidate will take the lead on analysis, writing and publishing this work. This person will also take part in practical beekeeping projects related to the control of Varroa mites in honey bee hives and should be capable of basic colony maintenance and other beekeeping activities with at least 3 years of beekeeping experience.
The ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors with honey bee colonies under hot conditions is required. A valid Driver's License is required. A Ph.D. in Entomology or a related field is required.
