Summary of Duties:

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Washington State University Spokane with Dr. Boyang (Jason) Wu. The research will focus on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies on 1) elucidating the roles, mechanisms, and targeting potential of novel genes that mediate therapy resistance in prostate cancer, and 2) characterizing the tumor microenvironment and immune modulation of prostate cancer to develop combination therapies with enhanced immunotherapy efficacy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a proven track record of creativity and productivity.

  • Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have strong oral/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with prostate cancer, epigenetics, bioinformatics data mining, and cancer xenograft mouse models is highly desired.

Annual Salary: $57,958.00-$62,139.00 Commensurate with experience
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
